Contact Michael P. Wallace
Michael P. Wallace has over 29 years of experience in compliance laws and regulations. He is Manager of APEX Fair Lending & CRA Association, LLC; he also serves as President of Wallace Consulting Co., LLC. The latter is a boutique Fair Lending, CRA, and HMDA risk management company now in its 10th year of operation. He previously served as a bank examiner for over 19 years, primarily with the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (FRB St. Louis). With FRB St. Louis, he was a Supervisory Examiner and the fair lending oversight manager. Michael was the lead instructor for the Federal Reserve System’s Fair Lending Examination Techniques (FLET) training course for bank examiners. The FLET course was two weeks in duration, and he provided training to over 400 examiners across the country during 20 different FLET courses. In addition to his instructor role, Michael served on three consecutive triennial curriculum reviews of the FLET course, including a redesign of the accompanying large bank case study. Michael played a key role in the development of the Federal Reserve System’s fair lending risk assessment methodologies, and he was a CRA training course instructor.
